Sushi Monster- A Good App That Helps Kids Improve Math Fact Fluency

Sushi Monster is a math app that helps students learn math fact fluency and practice whole number addition and multiplication. The way it works is simple and easy: In order to feed the monster, students are to make their calculations and try to come up with the correct number of sushi places from the sushi counter.  Students need to use 'speed and accuracy to place sushi pieces near the monster and make the target number'. Only correct equations  feed the monster. Besides feeding the monster, correct answers also earn students points, stars, trophies, and personal bests thus making the game even more exciting and challenging .  The game is composed of 12 sequenced levels: 7 addition levels and 5 multiplication levels. Each level comprises 4 rounds and each round contains 14 target numbers. Students can only move to the next level when they get 12 target numbers. When replaying the game students are provided  with new numbers in each round. Sushi Monster is definitely a practical app to help students develop math speed and accuracy using a game-based learning approach. Catchy visuals, sound effects, and the buildup of suspense as the hungry monster looks for food are all elements that enhance students engagement and drive their participation. Sushi Monster works best on iPad and is especially made for kids 9 to 11 years old. Sushi Monster is free to download and use. It also supports various languages including Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, English, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, and more.  Watch this video by Kids Playground to see Sushi Monster in action: Related resources Free Math worksheets for teachers Best Math YouTube channels for teachers and students Best math websites for teachers and students Best math homework solver tools for students Best homework help websites for students Best Math apps for high school studentsThis post originally appeared in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning ( www.educatorstechnology.com ).

A compound tab that provides information regarding the possible compounds elements form, and many more. Ptable also provides "complete orbital readout for each element's ground state, quantum numbers, oxidation states, and diagram following Hund's rules. Hover over each electron pair for a 3-D view of that orbital that you can drag to rotate or hover over the element to view its highest occupied atomic orbital.".  As for the structure of the data, u...
